Tick, tick, tick. That’s the sound of the hand that is always holding yours. It has been holding you accountable to a Frame of life since you first arrived Here. It’s always there. It says hello from your wrist, from a high point on a wall, in the faces of people who you love but haven’t seen in some time, and -if you’re being honest- in that crippling feeling you experience every now and then when you come to realize that you are not Living Up…
And we know this. On a deep level we sense Time.
How is it that our greatest Resource goes so wasted, so often? And I do view Time as our greatest resource. Given just a little more, it’s highly likely there is nothing we could not conquer, Death even. Which is a Can O’ Worms if you stop and mull it over. With a little more time, we could solve the Problem of Time??? Will we have that, “little more” though?
Some people say, “no.” They say we’re doomed and our Time is coming to an end. Others think we pull from an endless well of Time and that everything is just dandy.
In either case -either Outlook- I wonder if these Teams are actively applying their thoughts about time (politically) to how time should be looked at personally.
Time management is all about managing Your time. I haven’t been good with managing my time in the past. Though the past is gone, it can be used as an instrument for learning. So I look Back Through Time, to isolate weaknesses in methodologies and behavior. Where is the fault? How could I have done this better? Why didn’t I do This or That?
There’s no real playbook for how to juggle time but the sooner you start to See that there are only so many seconds in a minute and only so many hours in a lifetime, the sooner you start to value Your time and thus, the sooner you will start to “utilize” it as the Single Most Significant Resource you will ever possess.
Godspeed
“Time is like water that we must Grab from a Stream. Hold it in your hands carefully, lest it slip through your fingers.”
